SME TradeLinks Delivers UNWTO Workshop on Branding

What an honour it was for https://www.smetradelinks.co.za/ to deliver a workshop on 14 June 2021 in #Windhoek, #Namibia on the Importance of Sstrategising and Branding for Small Tourism Businesses in Africa in the Context of the Global Covid-19 Pandemic! The one-day workshop was part of a two-day conference on building #BrandAfrica which brought together tourism ministers, CEOs, CMOs and SMME operators from a number of African countries including, for example, #Namibia, #Ghana, #SouthAfrica, #DRC, #Tanzania, #Zambia; #Chad, #Niger, #Lesotho and many others.
His Excellency Hage Geingop, the President of Namibia, Mr Zurab Pololikashvili, the Secretary General of UNWTO and Dr Ibrahim Assane Mayaki, the CEO of AUDA_NEPAD. The conference debated and laid the ground for a comprehensive and continent wide consultative process to conceptualise and launch a Brand Africa that will represent and project the #AfricaWeWant: an Africa that is rising; an Africa that cares; an Africa at peace with itself and with others; an Africa that is united and strong; an Africa that is free from negative stereotypes and misconceptions. Branding Africa will no doubt be a long and arduous process, but branding our beautiful continent to instill pride and a sense of common purpose we must. #AU, #AUDA_NEPAD, #AfCFTA
